Seoul Metropolitan Government Announces ‘Try Everything 2026: Seoul Unicorn Challenge’

The Seoul Metropolitan Government has officially opened applications for the “Try Everything 2026: Seoul Unicorn Challenge.” Organized alongside the Seoul Business Agency (SBA), this premier challenge aims to discover promising startups and their expansion into the Korean market.

The application window runs from May 19, 2026, until June 30, 2026, at 23:59:59 (KST). Startups under 10 years old led by a founder with non-Korean citizenship seeking growth in Korea are strongly encouraged to apply.

A total of seven leading startups will be selected as winners. Finalists will compete for a total prize pool of KRW 120,000,000 (approximately USD 82,000), subject to change based on exchange rates. Alongside cash prizes, winners will receive the prestigious Seoul Metropolitan Government Mayor’s Award.

Beyond financial rewards, the Seoul Unicorn Challenge offers a comprehensive suite of high-value benefits designed to accelerate international growth. Finalists will receive the exclusive opportunity to pitch their IR at the Try Everything 2026 main stage. Furthermore, finalists will gain massive visibility through targeted media and PR support via press releases and promotional channels, as well as an exclusive opportunity for linkage with the Naver Cloud Greenhouse support program.
